Looper Scoring Sessions, San Francisco
Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Ryan Lott on the piano. Literally.
This is, I believe, the first actual audio from the score to be posted. Not that you’ll be able to tell when you hear it in the film, but still.
We’re in a big fancy studio on a nice piano, but really, we’re not that far off from how we made Brick.

Warhol and Philbin
I just remembered a crazy dream I had last night. Andy Warhol, Regis Philbin and myself hanging out in this weird bohemian-like artist housing. I spent the whole time cooking. I think it’s the weirdest dream I’ve ever had.

I’d like to thank Jesus…the sound guy.
– Ryan Lott (AKA Son Lux) last night at the end of his album release show in Brooklyn. The name of the sound guy was Jesus, pronounced with a hard J. (via chrisjacobsisawesome)
Just learned that the first documented use of “OMG” happened in a 1917 letter to Winston Churchill from Admiral John Arboth Not… . from the leaders of the British empire to high schoolers everywhere… from grand beginnings to humble endings.

SXSW Day 3
Has anyone heard about Viva Voce? I’d never heard of them, but this live show is so great I’m wondering if I’m just out of the loop.
SXSW Day 2
I’m flippin’ tired. Awesome day. Highlights: Sweet audio gear @ the Vintage King party, The Rocketboys. That’s about all I have to say. Goodnight.
SXSW Day 1
Great first day at SXSW today. Highlights: The Civil Wars - they rocked the Paste mag party today. Also, Brandon Kinder’s new project The Wealthy West; everyone should check out the album on bandcamp.com.
Ran into so many friends today by surprise. The world is small even in all of this craziness.

Day 26 of Son Lux’s Album-In-A-Month Project. DM Stith tracks vocals in his home studio in Rochester, and Faux Fix records vocals from a New Orleans hotel room. Son Lux pulls the pieces together and previews the track from his studio.
